tutorial: felt gridlock scarf

gridlock

Here’s another great tutorial from the blog HomeWork Create every day (last week we featured the needle-felted sock heel fix). This photo-intense tutorial takes you step-by-step through the creation of an open grid scarf made from felted strips of merino roving. What a unique and quick gift idea!

There was a similar idea in the recent issue of IK Crochet, too–you crochet intersecting chains in a loose web and then felt the whole thing. I LOVE that either way it’s a quick and extremely stylish wardrobe-stretcher.

    This is a great project.

I’ve found ‘Kneek’ to be a very useful felting resource. Invaluable actually!
