Free Pattern: Cast Toe Cover
On February - 25 - 2008
In “honor” of Kay’s upcoming orthopedic surgery, this week I’ll be trying to give you patterns you can use for yourself or loved ones who are currently or will soon be sporting casts. If you want, you can knit up a few and donate to your local hospital, ER, or orthopedics office. The patients and their chilly toes will thank you.

Hey Leesy, saw your toe cover up post and wanted to show off what I made for my husband when he had foot surgery this past December.

Talk about impeccable timing. My poor old daddy just fell and broke his heel, and my mom called today asking whether I could knit him something to keep his toes warm! I had no idea such a pattern even existed. Thanks so much for posting it. You just saved me a bit of measuring and thinking.
