Do you know what day it is….? It’s…

And this week, we’ve got all kinds of WIPpy WoYN wonderfulness…if you’ll forgive the alliteration. We’ve got two bits of socky goodness in a very familiar yarn, a designer bit of usefulness, and an amazing sweater to show you today.
Right this way, please….!

Mintdee’s doing a pair of monkey socks. I know, we’ve seen a lot of monkeys around blogland, but there’s a funny story with this. I saw her picture and was all “That’s really pretty in that yarn…I wonder what it is?”.
Then I clicked over and realized….it’s mine. *facepalm* Well, at least I’m consistent. Ahem.
She recommends a drool-bib if you decide to make monkeys from your Sasquatch, though. Just passing on the warning.

I swear I won’t always make this about self-promotion, but I *knew* this was Lime & Violet yarn (“Spiceland”, to be specific) that TalesOfYarn was using for this sock, but the photo of the heel was too pretty not to include in here. She’s doing a basic stockinette sock with a slipstitch heel, and it has me thinking that I need to do some more heel flaps like this. So. Incredibly. Pretty.
Now check THIS bit of Coolness out:

StoneAmazon is coming up with a pattern for a knitted greek coffee-to-go sleeve that’s embroidered and knitted and I believe that might even be fair isle in there. Holy *cow*. For people who love the coffee as much as *I* do, this is probably going to be on the to-knit queue.
Luckily, she’s going to share this pattern with the world over on her etsy shop when its done, and I’m going to be lining up to nab one.
And finally,

KniftyRed is making a sweater for her daughter. Which would be impressive enough (look at the cables! and it’s her own pattern!), until you ALSO find out that it is hand spun and hand dyed yarn, dyed with Kool-Aid. I kid you not.
When this woman sets out to make a sweater from scratch, she is not kidding around.
Remember, folks — WOYNW needs to be in my hands by Tuesday night. Alternately, if you make a blog post about your current WIP and link to The Daily Chum, I will find you. Because I’m like that, see.

Squeeeeeee! I seriously love you guys. Seriously. I could listen to you for an hour every day. The pattern will be done in the next couple weeks, and I’m hoping to offer kits as well. Thanks!
